FELIPE REIS MACCARI
Approaching design from both engineering and artistry

MACCARI
ABOUT
ME

My name is Felipe, and I am a junior at Northwestern University. I am pursuing a major in Manufacturing and Design Engineering and a minor in Art Theory and Practice. I have also completed the design and media innovation Bay Area Immersion Program. This blend of technical and creative disciplines has equipped me with a unique perspective on design, allowing me to approach my work with both precision and artistry.
Last summer, I interned at the Segal Design Institute, leading four engineering interns in building a safe automated swing that works with an e-bike motor and a mechanical system to facilitate the use of motion in infant medical treatments. Outside of the shop, I am the co-director of Mayfest Productions' Promotion Committee, the organization behind the nation’s largest student-run music festival (12,000 attendees), and a Block Museum Student Associate.
